Default GO 510 Bluetooth Problem?

I recently purchased a TomTom Go 510, and was wanting to know if anyone else has had any issues pairing the unit with their Bluetooth (BT) cell phone. My phone is a Motorola V3 (T-Mobile). I currently have a Plantronics BT headset that pair’s just fine.

Following the direction in the 510 manual, it is pretty straight forward, make phone visible, set 510 to look for phone, and it does not see the phone.

I've also tried it the other way, and had the phone look for devices. It sees the TomTom Go 710, but when I select it, I get unable to connect.

I just wanted to through this out to the forum to see if anyone else has had this issue.

Thanks

I have a 510, but I don't have a bluetooth phone; so we'll have to see if any "lurkers" are willing to respond.

How long have you had the unit? Has it successfully connected with any other phones?

I bought the unit on Sunday 6-11. I actually took the unit back today, and exchanged it for a new one. I also tried to connect my phone to the demo in the store and it didn't work either. They found an employee in the store with the V3, and theirs worked.

So, I went to a T-Mobile store, and used thier demo V3 and it connect immediately. Since my phone is still under warranty, they are shipping me a new phone. But what I've seen of the Bluetooth feature on the phone, the handsfree speaker phone is really a great feature.

Has anybody successfully linked a Sprint or any Treo 650 for that matter with the TT 510?
I understand from the TT web sight there are only ahand full of bluetooth phones that will work with TT+ Services. However I don't understand why any bluetooth 1.x capable phones won't work with the TT as a hands free kit.
